In this this song we poke fun at an instrument that for many guitarists, was their first. They were student grade guitars but if someone took the time to set them up right, they could be pretty good. Many guitarists owe their careers to these, and some people collect them.

In our early days, we used guitars like this and remember them fondly, but when things went wrong, we could always blame the guitar. We can't do that anymore, so that became the title of our first song, and our first album.

The hook here is that we actually used the same old guitars to record this song. They did pretty well for us. In fact, the guitar solo at the end was done on a mid 60's Stella 12-string. That was Art's main guitar back then.
