Sally creates meticulously executed cityscapes, still life, and landscapes, which capture the vitality of the life around her. Her use of intense, saturated color and bold, dynamic composition provides a dimension of animation to work rich in detail and rhythmic informal organization.
A graduate of City College of New York with an additional degree in fine arts from Notre Dame College in Manchester NH.
Ms Newman has been shown by numerous galleries throughout the United States. Her work has been widely noted in the art press and received many national awards.
Awards include Manhattan Arts International, National Association of Woman Artists, National Society of Artists, American Artists Magazine, and others
Her membership in numerous art associations include New Hampshire Art Association, National Association of Woman Artists, American Artists Professional League and Copley Society of Art. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the country.
