Because it is so long, I broke the image into 2 sections for this web page only.
Elm Street, Manchester NH - Bridge St. to Merrimack St.
2002
Large only: #PA001L- approx 7-3/4" x 89" (almost 8 ft long)
I was on Manchester's main street, trying to find the locations where some turn-of-the-century photos had been taken. It occurred to me that it would have been nice if someone back then had made a photo of the entire street. Then I thought that someone in the future might someday think the same thing, so I decided to do just that for 2002. It took some experimenting to figure out how to go about it, but this is the result.
Usually, a panorama is a photo that shows a large scene taken from one spot. This photo however, does not fit that definition. What you are seeing are the store fronts as seen from the opposite side of the street looking straight at it. So you are not seeing the scene as though you were standing in one spot and panning. - Ron Boucher
