This riverside park was created after several mill buildings were demolished in this area. When these mills were first built, the workers walked to their jobs. One reality of modern life is that workers come from greater distances and need parking spaces. When they renovated the area with the intent of making it useful to modern businesses, the planners had to deal with this reality of a need for parking.  - Ron Boucher -
