At that time of year when it occurs, this scene does not last very long. The sun moves faster than we think and each day, the angle is a little different. A prominent feature of this photo is the shadow of the street light, but when I look at this photo, I think of the workers who's job it was to build this wall in 1879.

They surely were having conversations amongst themselves; talking about the events of the day, about their families & concerns - the kind of thing we would do. Theirs however, was such a different world. They laid each brick down and there they’ve remained ever since.   -  Ron Boucher -
